Blu-Ray BD-R Disc Media
Blu-Ray (AKA Blu-Ray Disc or BD), is a next-generation optical disc developed by the world's leading electronics manufacturers.
It was developed for recording and playback of high-definition video (HD), and storing large amounts of data. Blu-Ray offers five times the storage capacity of traditional DVDs, holding 25GB on a single-layer disc.
In early 2008, all major manufacturers agreed to support Blu-Ray as the standard "next generation" disc format, and ceased support of its rival HD-DVD.
