PC & Laptop Expansion Cards

Expansion cards allow for additional ports such as E-Sata or USB to be added to a laptop or desktop computer. These cards allow for older systems to use newer technologies without replacing major components such as a motherboard.

These cards come in two variants;

PCI Card - This type of card fits into the PCI slot of a motherboard on a computer. This is located at the back of the computer, usually underneath the motherboard.

PCMCIA Card - This credit card size device fits into the PCMCIA slot of a laptop. This is generally located on the side of the laptop.
