CPU Heatsinks & Coolers

With the CPU (processor) being the "brains" of the computer there are some drawbacks. The main problem is that the processor becomes very hot when in use. In order to overcome this and get the most out of your processor whether it is over clocked or otherwise, cooling products are available.

Heatsink & Fans - Cooling heat inks and fans are the most common way to cool the CPU. The heat sink draws heat away and the fan blows the hot air away from the processor.

Thermal Paste - In order to keep a high conductivity between the heat sink and the processor, thermal paste is applied at the point where the two touch.

Water Cooling - Water cooling allows for the dissipation of heat through the use of flowing water. Water cooling also has no moving parts and so is very quiet.
